I teach 4th grade reading and social studies at a Title I school. Brookwood is a mining town in Alabama and has been hit hard economically in the last couple of years. Before that, many families were impacted by the tornado that ripped through our state. Most of our students are in poverty and have limited experiences when starting school. We have many students that have limited or no access to technology. I am trying to change that and give them more opportunities to use technology while at school and let them discover new and exciting ways to learn.
