My name is Melissa Thaalesen. I am excited to be a first year teacher with Hoonah City Schools teaching Middle School. I have worked with this district for about 10 years as a special education paraprofessional. While working, I was also pursuing my degree as a K-8 General education teacher, as well as a K-12 Special Education teacher. I have just recently graduated, and was offered a job. I am excited, but need many new things for the classroom. I hope that you will take the time to read and donate if you can!
