I truly believe that all young children need a safe and warm place to go when they are feeling upset or anxious. Right now in our classroom, there is just no materials to make this space possible for these children. By giving the children in my Kindergarten class a place to go when they need to calm down, I will cut down on negative behaviors in the classroom. Children at this age are working through how to deal with their emotions and need tools in order to do this. By giving them this space it will take away the anxiety, cut down on negative behavior, and help children learn how to control their emotions in a positive way.

About my class
