I am lucky enough to be able to teach students in the same district that I live in and I will also send my children through this school system in the future. The students I teach are in an urban district where the majority receive free or reduced price lunch. I teach in a regular education classroom which includes ESL students, special education students and students from all different demographic backgrounds. Each school year is filled with its challenges but also with so many inspiring interactions with amazing students.
I truly love the job I do and each year, I look for new and interesting ways to keep my students engaged and learning.
Despite coming from difficult situations, my students are still eager to learn and work hard to do their best with sometimes limited resources.
