Engaging students and getting them excited about reading can be tricky. Therefore, the books received through this donation will be utilized to hook them and show them that reading can be fun and rewarding!
I want them to have the feeling of never wanting to put their book down, so I have chosen a wide variety of book genres in the hopes that I can reach all the students in my classroom. These books will allow them to find a series they enjoy and the ability to move from one book to the next easily.
This donation will make a difference in bringing out the reader in all my students by allowing us to do various classroom read alouds, small group book clubs, and independent personal readings. Many of my students do not have books at their fingertips at home, nor do they frequent the public library and need more readily available reading material on their level.
