My students come from different home dynamics. I want them to feel as if I'm meeting them at their personal needs with how and where they put their growing minds and bodies. They need differentiation in the way they sit, not in just how they learn. My goal is to give this group, in a Title 1 school, a cozy and flexible place to learn. I want them to feel at home. The materials I have chosen will help these students focus on just what their mind needs for each lesson, rather than their bodies and how to "sit still." The carpet will be for whole group instruction. We will gather there daily to learn. The flexible seating options will help my students that feel the need to move. I want to meet each child at their individual level.
