The students that attend our school constantly have hygiene problems. Our school receives minimal funds to help pay for these items that directly impact our students daily.
The lice shampoo, deodorant, and toothpaste will help the students start every morning ready to learn! Many of our students frequently miss school due to frequent lice. They are given three days to remove and kill the lice in the their hair, therefore they are missing many days a year of learning! By providing the shampoo to the families, we will directly increase the student's learning by allowing them to come back to school as soon as possible.
The toothpaste, deodorant, clothing, hand soap, and underwear will allow the students who do not have easy access to these items feel clean and ready to learn. The games will give the students things to play with while having to stay in the nurses room. The rug and wall décor will make the room more inviting and allow students to feel comfortable in the nurse's station. The pillow cases will help provide sanitary covers for the students to lay on when they are filling sick, and the backpacks will give the students a place to hold their books and folders.
