This project is going to be used to enhance the student's writing skills. Too often the grammar and punctuation is poorly written, and the students will learn by correcting sentences daily. The problem is the students do not use proper writing mechanics, the solution - they will learn how to correct their sentences. My students need an easel, chart paper, and frame to complete morning work - correcting a sentence. Practice makes perfect even with the written word. Each morning the students will be given two sentences that are written incorrectly. They will take turns at the board correcting the sentences. Then they will write the corrected sentences into their note books. These sentences will remain on display to help the students with their journal writing. The water will keep us hydrated as we work.
