My project is focused on building writing and literacy. Getting a printer for our classroom, will make it easier for students to see the fruits of their labor. I want my students to be able to see their final draft on copy paper. I want to be able to laminate their craft to make it a timeless masterpiece. My students deserve to share their story and see the value of their words. In third grade, students learn about different genres and get the chance to write fantasy stories, biographies, and informational essays. It is also the first year of taking standardized tests. I want to build confidence in their writing, build their literacy and expose them to tools that will help do that.
