During our classroom breaks, my students enjoy sensory activities like computers, movement (trampoline chair, bean bags), play dough/rice/noodles, and other similar activities.
Students in my class would benefit from tactile activities that provide them with sensory comfort. Items like maze boards, assembly games, tents and tunnels, and locks and keys provide my students with proper sensory activity without over stimulation.
Weighted vests would be nice for comforting students when their little bodies are in sensory overload. The vests would provide just the right amount of weight to make my autistic students feel safe and secure without making them feel uncomfortable.
