My students love to learn about what is going on in the world. They are always asking questions and/or wanting me to show answers to their questions on the Smartboard. They watch student news daily, but they need something more. These magazine subscriptions will go beyond what they watch on student news. They will be able to read about a subject, discuss it with a peer, and complete an activity and/or assessment about that particular subject. The magazines will be more hands-on than watching the news, will keep them up-to-date on current events and aid them in becoming more efficient readers.
