Reading correctly and with understanding sets students up to be successful in life. Giving students a variety of books to read opens their eyes to new vocabulary. Being a STEM Magnet School, I want to also bridge reading with our STEM subjects to show students that reading encompasses many parts of our school day and daily lives. Reading books and stories on the Fire tablets will further engage them digitally. The Fire tablets will continue to allow them to become 21st century learners. Students will be able to apply what they have read by completing activities in the spiral notebooks. Finally, reading a variety of books gives them the chance to select books that may interest them. I am hoping that students will gain a love for reading. I am hoping that with my guidance and this project students will be able to find a "good book"!
