With Covid-19 taking a front row seat to learning this year, teachers are having to become more and more creative in their instruction. I am a technology based teacher who loves to integrate websites, research, software and technology-fun into all of my daily lessons. However, with things as they are, the few computers we have in our school are being sent home with our distance learners so that they too can receive a wonderful education.
However, I'm desperate for my in-class kiddos to be able to enjoy and extend their learning with technology. I want to have a "center" in my classroom with these computers, so that the children within my room can try out math games and websites that enrich their learning. I want them to know how to navigate the internet and use Microsoft applications that we as adults use daily. I want to incorporate as much technology into their daily learning as possible, to set them up for success in this Techo-centric world!
With your help I can have these computers in my classroom as an extension of the lessons learned, as a place for kids to type their essays instead of writing them, and a engaging and enriching part of our day.
