The current learning format of both in person and online has presented unique challenges for my students with autism. My unique learners require modified instructional supports to be able to succeed both in person and during distance learning and asynchronous days and I intend to use the TPT gift cards to purchase differentiated instructional tools for my students to use either digitally or in hard copy. Also, since my students benefit from the ability to use digital tools that adapt to their performance and provide real-time feedback, especially on days where we are asynchronous.
By adding digital tools like Nearpod to my classroom, my students with autism will increase their independence, build their confidence, and enhance their motivation to be lifelong learners.
