My students are a unique and amazing bunch as we are an 18-21 year old, self-contained autistic support classroom. My job is to prepare my students for life after school - we take weekly vocational training trips to work at various sites throughout the city. Navigating the public transportation system as well as the workforce is something my students show amazing resilience and adaptability to every single day.
These materials are what keep our classroom and our program running. In order to provide my students with an in-house vocational experience, we help manage a school-wide coffee delivery sale and the use of these material enable our business run efficiently. The additional classroom supplies support independence in the classroom meanwhile reinforcing positive behavior.
We are a city-school and like to keep our classroom clean, as this is our second home. The peppermint oil and tea bags have proven effective in keeping our unwanted friends away. The laminator and the laminating sheets help to preserve things that we use on a daily basis such as our visual schedule, work tasks, and independent binders. My students use expo markers daily on things such as our morning binders, work bins, and independent work tasks.
