I teach a 3rd grade class at a Marion Donaldson in Tucson, Arizona. I have been in the field of education for the past 15 years and teaching professionally for coming on 8 years. We are a Title 1 school and it is very important to me to provide rich meaningful real world experiences to my students. . I am very committed to student engagement and I have found this works best through hands on project based learning. I love to connect the different content areas together. When I plan a unit I look at how I can integrate math, science, literature, technology and engineering. I have no greater joy then when I see a student take charge of their own learning and choose a topic within a subject that they would like to delve deeper with. This creates a life time love of learning. I have spent my time grouping units together
