I teach at a school that specializes in educating students with reading disabilities, primarily dyslexia. I directly teach and interact with 28 students of various ability levels and diverse backgrounds.
Although they have difficulty reading, my students shine when given the opportunity to engage in hands-on projects and problem-based learning activities.
My students are hard workers and persevere when presented with learning challenges. I am continuously looking to add more supports and enrichment activities to my classroom to meet their diverse needs and provide them with feelings of success!
