Traditional desks and chairs impair a lot of learning styles within the classroom. I am looking for a way to allow movement in the classroom to help promote growth within my classroom! I hope to be able to add flexible seating to allow students to take responsibility for their learning. During independent work times my students are allowed to choose a location in the classroom that works for them. Currently, I have extra tables, rugs, an scoop chairs. These are great options but I want more for next year!
I have noticed how motivated students are in choosing their spots during independent time. They try to make good choices about where they sit and get more work completed than when they are just sitting at their desk.
These products that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional seating options to make more effective learning choices. The wobble stools are a great way to incorporate movement within the classroom. These will be extremely beneficial for some students that just need to get the wiggles out. They can also be used as an alternative chair if needed! The bands will be another tool for students to use to help them concentrate on their tasks. I hope to use the yoga mats as another spot for students to get comfy when working around the room.
