Having additional seating options (carpet) for the students allow them to remove their self from their desk when they are starting to get distracted. The students will have a comfortable place to get assignments done. They will also have a place to go when they are struggling to see the activity on the board. The wobble stools are also a huge motivational factor in the classroom. Students have a hard time sitting still for a long period of time. With the stools the students are able to move while they are getting their work done. When students are testing, being able to move while silently sitting in their seat could help improve concentration.
