"Meet me on the rainbow rug" is something I say multiple times a day. Our current rug, although cleaned everyday by our lovely custodian, isn't very inviting anymore. Its very drab and discolored. Although if you asked my students I am not sure they would see it as that.
They love to join me on our rainbow rug to discuss, explore and learn new things! They love it when I take a seat with them to really get to their level and talk with them. I love to pull small groups to the rug as well. I think a new rainbow rug would be so much more inviting for them and for me.
