By having a water cooler in the choral room, students will be encouraged to remain hydrated. It is a fact that singing requires the vocal mechanism to be lubricated in order to work at its optimum. Students do drink water, but not enough. When they can see the water cooler in the classroom, they will be more inclined to drink water. This also will reduce the amount of traffic in and out of the room improving classroom management. Students might even be encouraged to bring in bottles and fill them during the class period. We need at least one good donor who can aid our students in sounding and singing at their best!
