The items selected will be used to connect math to my students home life. As students connect math to their daily lives, it increases their comprehension and retention of it. The materials will be used to create a "carousel" of learning in the classroom and at home. Students will be engaged with the teacher, parent, and classmates to connect the importance of math in their daily lives. Students will build a bridge of notes from the math found and home and, using discovery learning skills, connect the gathered data to the state standards and life skills needed.
