Oakview Elementary is a Title One school in a low income, rural district with amazing students! I currently teach in a third grade classroom with diverse learning needs and interests. Many students have basic needs that need met at school and come from hardworking but split households that don't have the means to provide many extras. My colleagues and I work very hard to make school an educational, safe, engaging environment as the school budgets for teacher materials continue to decline.
The students need reading experiences to excite them and open their eyes to the endless number of ways they can change this world for the better as they grow as readers and future leaders!
