Despite the challenges, there's nothing more meaningful than the relationships I build with my students. For many of my students, my classroom is a safe and welcoming space. We not only work to improve our reading and writing skills, but we prepare ourselves to become active, positive members of society. The decorations around my classroom create students' first impression of my personality and teaching style. A Cricut will allow me to further personalize my classroom and create an environment that promotes student learning. I will be able to make items like anchor charts, classroom procedure posters, inspirational quotations, and countless and student projects. In addition, I’ll be able to create personalized items like bags or t-shirts to use for team building, incentives, and field trips. This project will allow me to be more flexible with lesson planning as students will have the opportunity to make more expressive ELA projects, such as figurative language posters and grammar flipbooks. I take pride in my ability to form lasting relationships with my scholars, and the atmosphere of my classroom is a significant factor. I'm hoping this project will make an endless impression on my students.
