Teaching my kids about the horrors of the Holocaust is very important for my growth as an educator, and the growth of my kids. Continued learning about oppression, cruelty, and inequality is necessary to help my kids grow into informed, empathetic individuals. In order to make an impact and learn valuable lessons, my kids need to be able to relate to the victims and situations of the Holocaust on a personal level. Reading a non-fiction account of the tragic experiences of children their age will help develop interest in the topic, as well as make the information memorable for the future.

About my class
