My students need materials to listen to keep them engage during our learning center time. Sometimes having the students to listen to another voice, cadence, and tone will provide differentiation in their learning. My students will use the Making Ten Listening Center, Listen and Learn Phonics and Listen and Learn Letter Sounds Activity Programs to help build their skills in composing and decomposing numbers to 10, help them to identify beginning and ending sounds and long and short vowel sounds. These materials will be used during learning center times throughout the day as we work in small groups. They will be able to use these materials as they begin to build on their reading fluency.
Most of my students are at-risk and in need of as many literacy based learning opportunities as possible. A listening center in our kindergarten class will help students become better readers. It will increase their sight word recognition, improve decoding and phonics skills as well as math skills. These materials will engage students each day to improve on their literacy and math skills. The students will have opportunities at school to truly explore these materials as well as be provided reinforcement for skills in which they struggle. Your generous donation to our project will improve our Kindergarten classroom by helping them to have access to listening materials that will be engaging to my eager learners to becoming stronger readers and problem solvers.
