This project for books will help me to celebrate reading, opening my students’ eyes to a better future. As an advocate for special need students, these students lag behind in reading and writing. For example, as a teacher, l test students on a weekly basis and see that most students read at a 4th-grade level academically. Having books to capture their attention will promote reading.
Assisting my students to read more, it will take them on a journey to become a better reader. Having these books in the classroom library would make a difference for this population of students. To motivate students to read, having choices will encourage them to become better readers and writers.
