Learning from my students and their growing interest with nature, this project will help them better explore the outside of their classroom. With the change of the season from winter to spring comes new life and adventures to explore right outside the classroom door. As the birds build their nest in the trees, the butterflies soar all around us, and flowers start to bloom; through this project they can take an active role as they investigate the changes the season will bring.
They will plant and tend to their garden, watch the full life cycle of a butterfly, get a better view of the many birds who chirp a morning song, and enjoy books that will help them understand all that is going on.
