The materials I am requesting are, in my opinion, essential for building a home away from home for my students. The classroom carpet I am requesting will not only give students a place to come together for learning, but it will be a place where we start our day and build morals.
I am also requesting pillows and bean bags, which will add to our homey appeal by giving students a place to go off on their own to reflect on individual learning, work cooperatively, or just find a comfy space to read a book. All of which boost student learning and understanding in the classroom and help students feel a part of a classroom community/home.
