I teach Language Arts and Social Studies to 50 smart, resilient 6th grade students. Some of my students come from unsafe neighborhoods and unstable households. I do everything I possibly can to provide them with the education they need, as well as the stability and mentoring they lack at home. My students and I strive for excellence every day, despite the hardships they face. They're eager to learn, and I'm eager to teach them to be successful, responsible, and independent, so maybe one day they can explore the many opportunities this world has to offer them.

About my class

I teach Language Arts and Social Studies to 50 smart, resilient 6th grade students. Some of my students come from unsafe neighborhoods and unstable households. I do everything I possibly can to provide them with the education they need, as well as the stability and mentoring they lack at home.
