My passion and my love for watching my students grow is evident through my student-centered classroom. By creating this type of environment, students are able to feel safe and comfortable and focus their attention on being successful. Giving students a sense of ownership over their personal learning experiences is essential in helping them set and achieve goals to continue to progress.
Communication and team-building are an essential component of creating a student-centered classroom. As a group we develop a set of adjectives that we think would best describe the ideal behaviors and traits we would like to see exhibited inside and outside of the classroom from both ourselves and our peers. We constantly refer back to what we call our "Social Contract" throughout the course of the year and use this to set personal goals each month. We are a team and together we persevere.
