We are a RULER school. This means we partner with the Yale Center for Emotional Untelligence to teach students how to Recognize, Understand, Label, Exoress, and Refulate their emotions. One way we do this is through RULER lessons given by all teachers during advisory period twice per month. Help us help students at ESUMS build models of their brains, as they learn about the function of each region and how it impacts their learning. We will use this nonhardening modeling foam to create brain models and to explore the notions of neuroplasticity and growth mindset. We will also be able to reuse this nonhardening foam to teach other lessons about emotions and the brain.
