Unfortunately, with budget cuts and other monetary issues, technology is the last thing being added or funded to the classrooms. There are hundreds of apps available that would be such a benefit to my students in helping them learn about their world. It would help them become better mathematicians. My students deserve and desperately need every opportunity to explore the world around them through technology.
Incorporating technology into this twenty-first century learning environment would allow my students to flourish while being engaged. Technology can help students see how concepts they are learning in math class can be applied to everyday life. An iPad, a computer and a Samsung tablet would provide my students with a variety of technology advances. Students can use these technology items during stations, individual practice and for early finishers. These items also will be used to help students understand and practice different math concepts.
