My class needs eight Tuff Totes plus two Imagination Builders and hands-on Log Builders, Marble Run and Poppa's Pizza Topple Game to fill them. We live in a climate where snow is inevitable! Life in the northeastern part of the country is filled with snowy cold days. That means the majority of our recess is therefore spent inside for at least half of the school year.
I would love to give my students choices that provide them a chance to be imaginative and creative. When students are able to play creatively it leads to better learning whether in their writing or trying to answer a math problem to name a few examples. Sturdy items that can hold up to the wear tear of young kids is also immensely helpful!
