My students have experienced, colored pencils, drawing pencils, charcoals, water colors and ink painting. Now they would like to explore oil painting. It's a challenging media but these Advanced Art students are ready and hungry for a new challenging learning opportunity.
These materials are necessary to bring their goals of oil painting to life.
We need consumable supplies like canvas, paint, brushes, and cleaners.
Learning about the oil painting process will strengthen their understanding of innovations of the industrial revolution and aluminum oil tubes. They will also learn about the science behind oil painting. Did you know oil paint hardens, but never really dries? Most importantly, they will experience the media helping to support their understanding of their individual position in art history and in the current art world.
