I am seeking a variety of fiction and nonfiction books to use with students as I deliver speech and language therapy. Using books allows me to reach all of my students needs during small group instruction whether their needs are expressive language, receptive language, or articulation.
The activities that will accompany these books will address comprehension, sequencing, comparing/contrasting, writing, and story elements!
The activities planned are also Common Core aligned and can also be used across grade levels for therapy. During early learning development, children learn skills that are important to reading and writing. Exposing children to literacy helps develop their phonological awareness skills, vocabulary, comprehension, and overall language development.
