We are an 8th grade writing classroom in a middle school consisting of grades 6-8. Our students are diverse learners from various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. Our students are enthusiastic writers who work hard at achieving standards in a variety of genres, such as argumentative, explanatory, research, poetry, narrative, and presentations. This generation of students needs to be armed with skills in communicating, writing, collaborating, organizing, researching, and problem solving in order to be competitive candidates in today's growing technology field job market. Our students are enthusiastic about meeting these challenges through writing.

About my class
