Last year in STEAM club, we struggled to get big projects done because of some of the most time-consuming and non-educational parts of creation... cutting apart pieces! With this Cricut, we can speed up the boring parts and create large-scale projects that will get students excited!
We would like to be able to focus on the educational parts of our activities instead of spending time on mundane tasks. We will build paper roller coasters and learn about potential energy, acceleration, and friction. We will build robot bodies and use materials we already have to go with these materials. We will create, decorate, and invent through creative challenges such as creating Rube Goldberg machines.
The Kindle device will be used to access project sites, such as Rube Goldberg as well as a central location for record-keeping and downloading resources for our projects. It will serve as a club library for digital materials and projects. Finally, Teachers Pay Teachers has tons of great activities for our club that I would love to be able to use as well to expand our offerings!
