My students are starting on a lifelong journey of loving to read. I am requesting different book series to encourage my students to become readers and to enjoy books by various authors. Reading books in a series allows students to fall in love with the characters and travel with them on their adventures. I am requesting the following series: Percy Jackson, Harry Potter, Amber Brown, Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing, & The Magic Tree House. These books follow the characters through their joys, sorrow, accomplishments and disappointments. Students will love spending time with these courageous and funny characters. These books are at different reading levels to allow all students to enjoy them. All books will be put into our classroom library, which is accessible to all students, and will be read during independent reading time and at home.
