Students have learned about sketching and design. Students have used 3D design software on iPads to sketch solutions to engineering problems. We have started a STEM program but most of the design elements are very 2 dimensional. These things are great but are not permanent. This 3D printer will bring their sketches out of the computer and into their hands! Rather than just having a picture students will have the actual plastic model to take home. In my previous, more wealthy school district, I had two printers in my classroom and I want to bring this cutting edge technology to my new school.

About my class
