Creating an exciting culture of literacy expands our students desire to learn. Teaching our students about other times and cultures promotes understanding and appreciation for all people. Many of our disadvantaged students own few books. Our students need to view literacy as important and desirable.
Students that are excited about reading will be excited about learning.
We work hard to encourage our students to reach their potential and dreams. We desire our students to grow to appreciate and embrace differences in other people so they can be lifelong learners that treat others who may be different with respect. This book allows exploring another time and culture!
