Having the opportunity to have four iPads within our classroom that could be used throughout the day for our learning will be an amazing addition to our classroom. Having these iPads will allow for the students to use application for all subject areas (math, science, reading, and social studies), but also for their own personal social learning. The iPads will help use learn how to share, and interact with our peers.
These iPads would give us the opportunity to be able to differentiate, and provide learning applications that are on their level. The majority of the students within my classroom are performing below 4th grade level, so having opportunities to differentiate are needed. I also have four students who are non English speakers. Having an iPad that could translate into their language will be a huge benefit to their learning.
Not only can the iPad be used to differentiate students learning, but they can also be used for student collaboration. The students could work together to plan and videotape a project, or work on a presentation together. With having iPads in the classroom our possibilities are endless!
