Ozobots are mini robots programmed using color codes to indicate direction, speed, and special movements such as reversing and spinning. Students complete coding challenges both on paper and digitally using the Ozobot's interactive website.
Students practice critical thinking skills by giving precise, step-by-step directions in order to successfully program the robot. It builds collaboration and communication skills amongst learners. Their sense of accomplishment is evident in the excitement exhibited each time a student completes a coding challenge.
Technology is used daily in our fourth grade class and this addition will expand the students' fluency in the world of robotics and coding.
