My incredible young learners represent several different cultural backgrounds, and live on the Yakama Nation Reservation. They are five-year-olds who are full of joy and wonder, and love to learn!
My classroom is a special education inclusionary kindergarten class. This means that some of my students have special education needs and some do not, but they learn together in the same classroom. This is a wonderful way to learn, and a great environment in which to teach.
I teach in English and Spanish, as several of my students are from families in which Spanish is the primary language in the home. I have Native American, Hispanic, and Caucasian students who are from an area that is considered low-income (Title 1). Together with the rest of Valley View Elementary, we make a beautiful and fun place to learn!
