It's no secret that PRE-K students need to move. All the materials I am asking for will help them continue to develop their gross motor and fine motor skills. But physical activity for my students goes beyond motor development.
While my students are riding bikes, digging in the dirt, and catching frisbees, they are also growing their young minds. This early brain development is crucial to their academic success later on in life.
Many of my students do not have the opportunity at home to play with materials like the ones I am asking for. I want to provide them with the opportunities and experiences they have never had before.
