I recently took a workshop on using LEGO Education products in the classroom. The LEGO set "Simple Machines" was so engaging to me as an adult, that I know that my students in grades 3-5 will love it! The sets are designed to have two students working together on building a series of simple machines using gears, pulleys, levers, wheels and axles.
These LEGO sets will give my students the hands-on experience they need as I begin to slowly introduce them to building and programming robots! They will also be practicing life-long skills of collaboration, data analysis and perseverance. With my unique position as a Media Specialist, I reach every student in our school and will be able to expose all my students in grades 3-5 with this project.
