Many of the students have limited opportunities to use technology. The majority of the students needed to borrow technology for the COVID-19 school closure. The school closure caused many students to regress, especially the students with exceptionalities. I am trying to help my students regain and build new skills, closing the gap between my students and typical peers with the help of technology. The Mimio Interactive Flat Panel, which is like an oversized, 65 inch iPad, will give new experiences, providing my students with colorful, virtual manipulatives, games, and lessons that can accommodate many different learning styles. The interactive lessons will allow students to get out of their seats to come up and manipulate the board; for example, teaching math with virtual manipulatives. In addition, providing opportunities for the student to improve presentation skills, game-based learning, and practicing fine motor skills like writing or grasping an object such as a stylus or a pen. The Mimio Interactive Flat Panel will be a beneficial tool for many students and lessons.
