My fourth graders need technology in their classroom both to aid in their learning as well as give them the tenchological skills and confidence which is so valuable in our world. Most of theses students have no access technology at home at all, and the classroom is their only exposure. In order to make sure my students are set up for success in this digital world, I want to give them a chance to become familiar with technology and its’ place in learning.
We would use these tablets everyday in all subjects and each student would be given their own to use for the school year. Students will use the tablets to access math and reading resources sites such as IXL.com and iReady.com. They would also use them to access information related to social studies and science for everyday research, news, and independent projects. These tablets would be invaluable for students to finally be able to utilize online learning resources such as BrainPop, Scratch, and SpellUp.
Students would be responsible for learning how to use the technology as well as using it in digital projects throughout the year.
