These basic supplies would allow my students to put education first in their young lives. We are a cooperative learning environment and use many stategic, data-based doctorines in our lessons. By having all of these needed materials, we could drive our lessons with more hands-on opportunities. Students learn best through interactive lessons that allow their young minds to make connections with previous knowledge. I will drive my assessments more toward project-based learning that pushes my students to do research and open new doors to their success. Each student recently completed his/her first project. Through the research each child had to do, I could see a substantial amount of effort and excitement by this task-much more than the usual textbook/paper lesson!
