The materials requested will be used for an overnight science field trip during the spring. The students will participate in day and night interactive science activities that will allow hands on experiences not available in the classroom. The day activities will focus on environmental and life science experiments. The night activities will consist of eating s'mores around the campfire, hiking and astronomy activities. The sleeping bags requested will provide the students safe sleeping equipment to gaze up at the sky and sleep under the stars if weather permits. We are requesting ponchos to keep the students dry in the event of rain showers during our outdoor excursions. It is our expectation that all students will gain a better understanding of astronomy, environmental and life science through this experience.
